THE ALFRED - 10-03-09 Ohoi!
As you can see Daniel has provided me with a new menu to the left.
The guy is called Alfred Nobel, swedish scientist and engineer.
And of course founder of the Nobel Prize.
I am leaving for tour in about a month, and as always I am very excited.
I have started going through some new songs, trimming the merch boxes
and fiddling with artwork.
The 10" is on the way from the pressing plant and will be up for
sale just in time for the tour. Yes.
I am playing a few house shows on the tour.
These are always very nice evenings, and everyone
who feels like coming is invited.
However space is limited at some of the places and it´s
whoever comes first gets the places.
So drop me an email if you want to come!
Talk to you later.
Read Marguerite Duras!

I have measured a temperature difference of 19 degrees between outside and inside.
Dackes Drabanter has been sent off to press.
The cover looks amazing with illustration work by Ines Christine Geisser.
Here a little peak.

 10" - 10-02-13
Just sent away six brand new songs for mixing,
and I am very happy about how they all turned out.
The songs will be put on a 10" called Dackes Drabanter and will be
released in early April by lovely labels Jelly Fant and Gold Robot.
Gold Robot is an amazing little american vinyl label and
you should check out their stuff pronto. LINK!!!
Label always makes me think of Carson McCullers novel
The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter which does not completely lack relevance.
Too tired to write.

 SPRING - 10-02-06
February always makes me think about spring. Is seems so close this time of year, although well over 20 swedish winters should have taught me to stay in my seat. Two things at least.
Swedish release of B.U.R.M.A. celebrated with a party in good old Göteborg.
European tour. Playing 10 shows together with my brother Christian in Germany and then heading on solo to play some additional dates. After the polish dates we stick on a week or so in Spain. Main part of the shows will be played together with beautiful Pink Moth(can).

 NEW YEAR - 10-01-05
Happy new year everyone!
I usually do a revision of the past year around every new year, and so I will also this time.
A great part of the year has been focused around our stay on the island of Fårö on the east coast of Sweden. Me and Yrsa moved there on the 4th of February and left in mid September.
I know I am probably going on just a bit too much about the greatness of the time spent there, but it has a very special place in my heart.
Having over six months with no work and no stress being able to focus on music and just feeling good was a luxury I am afraid it will be hard to find again.
On Fårö I wrote and recorded the main part of what became the two albums "B.U.R.M.A." and "Head Held High On Fearsome Pride". I took one of the small upstairs rooms and built up my tiny studio in there. In periods I spent almost all of my time awake in there working on my music. A great fortune being able to do so in a quiet place like that.
So in September the two albums came out, we moved away from the island and I left on a long tour through Europa. The longest one so far, and definately the best one! I had bought an old Audi90 on credit from my mums cousin Hans and packed it full of my shit and left in late September. It´s hard to pick any highlights of the tour since it was all great, but I would like to thank a few people who did amazing things!
Anja Stopp! You rock. Playing a monday night café show in Trier with 130 people coming out was amazing. Thank you also Thomas for letting us use your place. I´ll see you both in April!
My new friends at Rotopol Press in Kassel! Not only did they do amazing covers/posters for the album, they also set up an amazing show at their tiny gallery. Thank you so much!
Mr Nino Kühnis. I am sad to hear you have to close down Kalkbreite. The night there was amazing. Played the little Kino after watching Dirty Dancing dubbed in german. A wonderful evening and an equally nice bikeride the day after.
Natalie Keppler and all the wonderful people in the flat in Bern. Thanks for letting me completely empty your livingroom! Was a great evening!
Jan. Was great having you come to all the swiss shows. Felt like a big comfort having you there. And thanks for the recordings!
Enri and Albe! Thanks for taking me to Italy. I love your country.
Manuel. Every show you book for me is great, and I think the one at Gasthaus Vorstadt was probably the best one of all. Thanks!
Conrad. Thanks for a lovely evening at Intersoup. No comments about Schokoladen, You know how I feel about that. Sorry!!!
Tobi Shurig. You are the best. Ilses Erika was the best show of the tour. You know it!
Sabine Bickel. One of the kindest people I have ever met. I find it hard to explain what thoise two days meant to me. Thank you so much. I love you.
Susi. Thanks for the most perfect ending of a tour. It was an amazing evening. Too bad you couldn´t make it up to Göteborg last week. Hope you feel better now. Love!
In all the tour was greaat. I loved every moment of it. Special thanks to Andi who made the first week of the tour an amazing one! And Pete of course for feeding my chips for a full week while I was driving. Your help is unvaluable!
Coming home to Sweden after the tour I have really not done alot. Inbetween accomodation and staying on sofas. Not the best way to spend the cold months. But I have high hopes this year will be good. I have a new album written and right now my head is full of thought and ideas on how to work on it. Good ones I hope! Title is set. Of course it has a Sture Dahlström reference also this time!
Thanks for a great year. Take care. B
