Sorry
for the lack of updates. I've started working a full time
job...
Anyway... We had a great time at this years third tour. I
even believe that it was our best and most fun tour so far.
At the moment I've just finished the recordings of a new mini-album
that will be titled "The Grey Rainbow". It will
include 7 new songs and be released in October by Riptide
Recordings and Stereo Test Kit. I believe it's easily my best
work so far.
I'm also working
on a brand new homepage. It will hopefully be up and running
in a couple of weeks from now.
Love,
Martin.

We're
home from the second part of the tour. We had a great time.
Soon we'll put up pics and videos on the site.
There are also three upcoming tours. One in June (Austria
and Germany), one in September (United Kingdom) and one in
October + November (all around Europe w/ the US-band Hanalei).
Dates coming soon.
The
guestbook has been removed because of all the annoying spam.
If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please send me an
e-mail: boyomega(a)gmail.com. Thanks.

Hola!
So we're back from the first round of the tour. We had a really
nice time. Thanks to everyone who came to our shows and to
the people who booked and arranged them! Also a special thanks
to our new friend Gethin
Pearson. Can I have a glass of pint please? ;)
Here are some photos
from the tour.
"The Black Tango" has been receiving some great
reviews, and it was chosen "Album of the week" at
Radio FM4 (which we've been told is the most popular radiobroadcast
in Austria and southern Germany). The song "Somewhere
I'm human" is also at no 13 at their list of "most
played songs".
The Black Tango, hits the UK on April 17th. In advance of
the album (and our upcoming tour), Stereo Test Kit has just
released a free online-single w/ artwork for your downloading
pleasure. It features two album and one non-album track. Go
get it here.

I'll end this with
an important tip for you all. Go here
and download and listen to the amazing 6-song-ep "Footnotes
to the spell of daylight-saving time" by my great brother
The
Book of Daniel. I play the bass and sing some backing
vocals on those songs. Karin, Linnéa and Per-Ola also
play on it. Go go go!
See
you on the road!
/Martin.

Hello
dear friends! As you can see to your left, there's a whole
lot of shows coming up soon. I'm really looking forward to
go on tour again. This time we will travel as a five-piece-orchestra.
I will bring my good friends Per-Ola Eriksson (Piano, Keyboard,
Guitar, Backing Vocals), Karin Wiberg (Violin, Melodica, Glockenspiel),
Andreas Lassus (Drums, Percussion, Guitar, Backing Vocals)
and Björn Kleinhenz (Bass, Guitar, Melodica, Keyboard,
Backing Vocals).
As for new releases, there's also a bunch of stuff coming
up.
1:The
forthcoming fullength-album "The
Black Tango"

that has been graced with some different release-dates around
the globe.
Germany (Riptide
Recordings) = 17/3
USA (The
Slight Record) = 17/3
United Kingdom (Stereo
Test Kit) = 3/4
Sweden (Villa
Recordings) = 3/4
Ni
som bor i Sverige kan förhandsboka ett ex av tangon genom
att skicka ett e-mail med ert namn och adress till villarec@gmail.com.
Priset kommer vara 100:-inkl porto.
2: A single featuring "By midnight we'll give
it a go" (as title track), "If only" and a
new song called "From us to eternity". It will be
released by my UK-label Stereo Test Kit. Here's the coverart.
My friend Andreas Öhman shot the picture. I drew the
lines.
3:"From
us to eternity" will also appear on a compilation to
be released by the Mexican netlabel Poni
Republic.

Then there's no less
than three releases on the US-label Tract
Records...
4:The
split "If we were oceans"
w/ Kristofer
Åström, Racinpaperplanes
and Two
Time The Trauma. We ended up recording four songs for
that one. They are:
1. Fool Around (Band version)
2. For I Cannot Breathe
3. From Us To Eternity
4. We Might Not Be Real (2006 version)

5:The
compilation "ENGAÑO",

featuring my cover of The
Strugglers' song "The Rejection Letter".
6:And
the single-disc-reissue of the Will Oldham-tribute "I
am a cold rock. I am dull grass"

where we appear with the song "A
sucker's evening". New artists contributing on the
reissue are Mark Kozelek, Jolie Holland, Unbunny, Court And
Spark, Elephant Micah and Viking Moses.
7:
A strictly
limited tour-cd titled "A Distant Foghorn" featuring
some "rare songs" (b-sides, covers, outtakes et
al).
8:New
merch (t-shirts, pins and posters) designed by me and my friend
Tobias Stilz.
9:An
amazing animated video for the song "Explode" made
by my friend Oskar Gullstrand.

What else? I've joined MySpace. You'll find me here.
Feel free to drop me a line or 95789372816321.
And to wrap things
up... Here's a picture of my grandma and grandpa Alice and
Sune. They've been married for 60 years now. I think that's
very touching and beautiful, don't you?

Hooray!
Until next time. Be friends.
Love,
Martin.

So... The big holidays are over. A new year is here. They
call it 2006. I must say it hasn't been too friendly with
me these first two weeks, but I think we can manage to get
along. Ta i trä.
It's
Friday. I guess most of my friends are out somewhere, but
I decided to stay at home with some hot coffee and cigarettes
for company... Listen to some power ballads, think some, read
some, write some and have a bag of that good ol' Japanmix.
I also took some time to update the Villa
Recordings-homepage and finish the list of my
favorite records from 2005. Turned out a pretty huge monster.
Iron teeth with an eye for the sharp summer breeze. Yada yada
yada...
I've also added a
german compilation/promo-sampler to the discography page.
Oh, and here's
a picture of a very interesting and strange bird (The "Abu
Markub") that was recently brought to my attention by
my dear friend Andreas. In Sweden it's called "Träskonäbben".
More info here.
Sleep tight, Princess.
/Martin.
